Personal data processed by Securify B.V.

Securify B.V. processes personal data because individuals use its services and/or provide this data directly. The following categories of personal data are processed:

• First and last name
• Date of birth
• Place of birth
• Address details
• Phone number
• Email address
• Other personal data actively provided, for example by creating a profile on this website, through correspondence, or by phone
• Bank account number

For applicants, the following additional data is also processed:

• All data listed in the resume (whether or not on LinkedIn)
• Other data provided during the application procedure

Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

Securify B.V. processes personal data for the following purposes:

• To contact individuals by phone or email where necessary to perform its services
• To inform individuals about (changes to) its services
• To offer individuals the option to create an account
• To deliver services
• To process payments
• To meet legal obligations, such as data required for tax filings
• In the context of a merger

Securify B.V. processes personal data on the following legal grounds:

• Because processing is necessary for the performance of an agreement (with customers and suppliers)
• To comply with a legal obligation (such as obligations towards the tax authority)
• Because of a legitimate interest, for example in the case of prospect data for customer acquisition purposes, or applicant data to assess suitability for a vacancy and/or the organisation
• If Securify B.V. intends to offer an applicant employment, a background check may take place. This is done only with the individual's consent.

Automated decision-making

Securify B.V. does not make decisions based on automated processing that could have significant consequences for individuals.

Retention of personal data

Securify B.V. retains personal data no longer than necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data was collected. The following retention periods apply:

Customer and supplier contact data is retained for the duration of the contractual relationship. After the relationship ends, data is retained for a maximum of two years. Prospect contact data is retained for a maximum of two years.

Applicant data is retained until one month after the conclusion of the application procedure. Where longer retention is desired, consent is requested, and data is retained for a maximum of 12 months.

Deviations from the above retention periods apply where a legal obligation requires longer retention. In such cases, the statutory period applies. Data may also be retained longer where necessary to enforce or defend legal claims.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Securify B.V. does not share personal data with third parties unless this is necessary for the performance of an agreement, to comply with a legal obligation, or on the basis of a legitimate interest. Sharing on the basis of a legitimate interest occurs only in the context of a merger.

With companies that process personal data on behalf of Securify B.V., a data processing agreement is concluded to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality. Securify B.V. remains responsible for these processing activities.

Cookies and similar technologies

Securify B.V. uses technical, functional, and anonymous analytical cookies (Google Analytics) that do not infringe on privacy. A cookie is a small text file stored on a computer, tablet, or smartphone upon the first visit to this website. The cookies used are necessary for the technical functioning of the website, user convenience, and anonymous analysis of website usage. They ensure the website functions properly and store preference settings. The website is also optimised using this data. Cookies are disabled by setting the internet browser to no longer store cookies. Previously stored information is deleted through the browser settings.

Securify B.V. makes use of the lead generation service of Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The tool identifies company visits to this website based on IP addresses and displays publicly available information, such as company names and addresses. In addition, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies to evaluate user behaviour on this website, and processes domains from form entries (e.g. "Leadinfo.com") to correlate IP addresses with companies and improve its services. More information is available at www.leadinfo.com. An opt-out option is available at: https://www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out. Upon opting out, personal data is no longer recorded by Leadinfo.

Accessing, modifying, or deleting personal data

Individuals have the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data. In addition, individuals have the right to withdraw consent for data processing, to object to processing by Securify B.V., and to data portability.

This means a request may be submitted to receive personal data held by Securify B.V. in a computer file, sent to the individual or to another organisation named by the individual. Requests for access, correction, deletion, data portability, withdrawal of consent, or objection to processing are sent to info@securify.nl.

To verify the identity of the requestor, a copy of a valid identity document is required with the request. In this copy, the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and citizen service number (BSN) are blacked out to protect privacy. Securify B.V. responds as quickly as possible, and within four weeks.

Security of personal data

Securify B.V. takes the protection of personal data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorised modification. If there are indications that personal data is not properly secured or that misuse has occurred, contact customer services or send an email to info@securify.nl.

This privacy statement may be updated from time to time.

In the event of a conflict between the English and Dutch versions of this privacy policy, the Dutch text prevails.
